Maori Tattoos had bilateral symmetry, with each side of the face telling different stories. Often these designs indicate clan lineage, or noble status, but were at times used to ward off evil spirits, or simply as a decorative patterns.

The art of Marlene Watson began many years ago in Rutherglen, Glasgow, Scotland. Observing life, discovering art, committing memories to paper were the cornerstone of her long career. Today, her art records iconic images for all; images that connect to your memories. Towns, cities and buildings that we encounter in life and that hold meaning.
